From approximately April to July the Whalesharks visit the waters surrounding Exmouth. They generally arrive just after the second coral spawning until the end of June or beginning of July but being a natural occurrance there are no set dates. The Whalesharks congregate to the Ningaloo Reef to feed on microscopic creatures known as zooplankton, which gives many international and national visitors the chance to snorkel and dive with the worlds biggest fish.
