Coral Bay

The landing of the schooner ‘Maud’ in 1884 is the earliest recorded European activity in the Coral Bay area. Coral Bay township is located just south of what’s know as ‘Maud’s Landing’. Formal settlement began in 1968 with the establishment of a hotel, caravan park, and service station. The town now survives solely on tourism.
